RainTech communal

RainTech Communal is designed for supplying multiple homes with rainwater from one central storage tank. This reduces capital cost of the system, and the associated installation costs.

Rainwater is taken from each property, filtered and then stored in a single storage tank. The water is then fed back to each property using submersible pumps. The preferred method is pumping the clean rainwater to a header tank in each property. this method allows a mains water supply to be connected to each header tank. The mains water supply acts as an automatic back up supply if there is no mains water.

there are a number of variations on this set up which can be viewed in the system variations tab.

As with all Raintech systems from Rainharvesting systems ltd, The Raintech communal comes as standard with the most robust pumps and alarm system. it is also fully compliant with BS8515. Tank sizes range from 5000 right up to 100000 Litres and beyond, the tank size for a communal system will depend on the number of available collection area, location in the country and the estimated usage volume.

The RainTech Communal system is available in a variety of different versions to suit the needs of the specific site.

RainTech Communal Indirect with Kiosk

A communal Rainwater system works best using individual header tanks in the loft space of each property. Rainwater is stored in the underground tank, then distributed to each header tank using a twin pump arrangement.

Controls are housed in a Kiosk for accessibility, the twin pumps operate on a duty/standby/assist function, the back up pump is there to protect the water supply, ensuring there is still a supply in the unlikely event of pump failure.

RainTech Communal Indirect without Kiosk

The controls to our RainTech Communal system can be housed in a home in the event there is no room on the site for an external kiosk. This offers more flexibility and allows the system to be used in a wider variety of applications.

There is no pump in the house, just a control panel. A pressure vessel is advised which if necessary can be housed in a loft space. This system still makes use of header tanks to maintain independence in mains water supply to the individual houses.

RainTech Communal Direct

If no loft area is available, the RainTech communal direct system utilises the direct pumping method to deliver the water to each home. Twin pumps are used for the ultimate in reliability and an alarm system is included as standard to ensure there is notification in the event of any pump failure.

The RainTech direct system requires mains top up to the main tank and therefore a communal water supply.
