Client: Mid Glamorgan Area Scout Council
Dolygaer Mountain Centre has recently undergone a complete transformation with the construction of a brand new building on its site near Merthyr Tydfil in the Brecon Beacons.
The Scout Centre is owned by Mid Glamorgan Area Scout Council and provides accommodations and outdoor activities for Scouts and other groups.
This attractive building boasts a rainwater harvesting system, which supplies water for flushing the toilets, thus reducing the demand for mains water.
The scout centre was officially opened on 27th May 2012. The system has a 10,000 litre storage tank and saves around 175,000 litres of water each year.
